She Was Pretty

She Was Pretty - TV Show - Korean Dramedy

I love a good Korean drama, they're generally over the top, squeaky clean, and come to completion. They tend to run anywhere from 16-25 or so episodes which makes them seem like less of a commitment to me than the usual TV show which could end up having a ton of seasons and never release you from their emotional grasp(cough*Grey's Anatomy*cough). She Was Pretty is one of my favorite TV shows of all time in any genre. The characters in the show are just so likable. The soundtrack, which features some classics from The Carpenters, is great. It's just a really fun, feel good show that I highly recommend.

At the time of this post She Was Pretty is currently available to stream on Hulu.

Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris - Movie

I'm so late to the game on this movie. I just watched it a few weeks back on Netflix(it has since been removed), and fell in love. I went to watch it again a couple days later and it's gone. Netflix's movie rotation is so painful at times. I'm not sure why I hadn't watched this, seeing as it is right up my alley. Owen Wilson plays a guy who is enamored with a certain period in the past and the art culture that came from it to the point that he almost can't focus on the world around him. He accidentally ends up traveling back in time to the period and spends time with the great minds of the era and of course ends up learning some life lessons. This movie is so hygge, and is perfect for a fall night in with a cup of hot tea and a blanket.

Kahn Academy

Kahn Academy - Learning Resource - Website and App

Kahn Academy is a Non-Profit Educational Organization. I've been using the app for quite awhile now and I love it so much. I use it for Art History mostly, a topic I enjoy studying. I love the fact that I can watch or read things I really enjoy while still feeling like I'm putting my time to good use. Learning really can be fun and rewarding when you put your time into things you enjoy, and Kahn Academy makes it so easy. They have many different subjects and quite a few test prep "courses". If you're looking to brush up anything from your school days this would be a good place to start.

SteamWorld Dig 2

SteamWorld Dig 2 - Video Game

I just purchased this game and it has exceeded my expectations. SteamWorld Dig 2 is a game similar to many I've played before where you dig, get some ore or gold, head back up top, sell the loot, upgrade and repeat. It's a highly addictive game system that this game seems to have improved upon over every other game I've played like it. This games has more style, and substance than others but also throws in some fun platforming as well as boss battles. I haven't gotten too far into the game yet but everything I've played so far just makes me excited to see what else it has in store.

SteamWorld Dig 2 is available on most major gaming platforms as well as Mac, PC and Linux.

That's it for this week. I have some exciting things planned for the next few, so be on the look out! Thanks for reading. Until next time.
