Fleetwood Mac Album Cover

Say You Will - Fleetwood Mac - Say You Will

I keep typing and deleting everything I have to say about Fleetwood Mac because it's not good enough. Their Rumours album is one of the best of all time. I didn't want to feature anything from it because I feel like everyone should have already heard the whole album a thousand times over. If you have not listened to Rumours go now.

Say You will is great, the album and the song, just like everything else Fleetwood Mac does.

Mates of State Album Cover

Get Better - Mates of State - Re-Arrange Us

Mates of State are a husband and wife duo I used to listen to a lot back in the day. I stumbled across them based solely off of their album artwork. I ended up falling in love with this song on the album. I like how the song feels a little wild and out of control at times, especially when they sing the "oh" around 1:30. The vocals are kindof raw and messy which make it more fun I think.

Amber Mark Album Cover

Monsoon - Amber Mark Feat. Mia Mark - 3:33am

Saw this album in the New Releases list on Spotify, clicked and sampled like I do almost any artist I don't recognize each week. Monsoon was the first song I clicked and loved it. It's catchy and simple. I also really like her voice with it's smoky texture. I'm not sure if this song is getting really popular since I don't listen to the radio or anything but I did hear it in Starbucks the other day. So, if it's over played and you're wondering why I put this on here, it's because I just have no clue what's mainstream nowadays.

Emily King Album Cover

Sleepwalker - Emily King - The Switch

Emily King is so cool. Like really cool. Sleepwalker has this great groove, bassy synths, and smooth backing vocals. Emily's voice is just so prefect to me, it has this great balance of smoothness and texture with a distinct sound to it. Oh, and that transition at 2:27 is my favorite thing. Just a little punch to let you know it's changing up before settling right back into the groove.

Kristene DiMarco Album Cover

Jesus Is Willing - Kristene DiMarco Feat. Tasha Cobbs Leonard - Where His Light Was

This song has that classic clap, stomp and organ combo. Normally I would probably pass on this style of song but it's just too good to pass up. I have been singing the chorus of this nonstop this week. Tasha kills the bridge, but she always kills. This song is really not to be missed, and it wouldn't hurt to just listen to the whole album. The Bethel team never fails to put out great stuff.

As always, thanks for reading. I hope you found something you like. If you haven't had a chance yet be sure to check out my new Weekly Favorites post.

Until next time.
