The Homebody

The Homebody

The Homebody. That person who never leaves their PJs or couch unless absolutely necessary or to pick up some more ice cream for their latest binge session. True Homebodies love to spruce up their comfort zone and deck out their happy place. This list is for all the Homebodies out there.

Standard Plug-In Pendant Light Cord Set - Colorcord - $25

I love the simplicity of these Pendant lights. You can hang them, wrap them, or do whatever you want with them in your home. The right bulb can take these to another level.  Also, this is just crazy cheap for cool lighting. A good homebody needs a cool and versatile light for those times they're curled up with a good book.

Ticket to Ride - Board Game - Days of Wonder - $40

Some of my favorite times have always been playing a good board game with a group of friends or family. Ticket to Ride is one of my favorites as of late. The game is simple to learn for kids and adults with a lot of layers to it. I've got a few of my friends hooked on it. Give your homebody the gift of great social fun.

Le Labo Amulet

Santal 33 Amulet - Le Labo - $76

Everyone wants their home to smell good, but there are always those spots in the back of the closet or tucked away in drawers where things just can't stay as fresh smelling as the rest of the place. Enter the amulet by Le Labo, a small ceramic insert which you drop a little scent onto and then put into the metal amulet. The amulet can be thrown anywhere to distribute scent. If I had the money I'd probably have one of these tucked away in every little nook of my house.

Classic Slippers - Mahabis - $110

The ultimate homebody needs the ultimate slipper. These Mahabis should do the trick. Mahabis are a great slipper with removable soles that allow them to be worn in or outside of the house. You homebody can now take a bit of the comforts of home with them with every step. Mahabis come in multiple colors and styles with many different colors of soles as well. With so many options your bound to find a color combo your homebody will love.

Waffle Robe - Parachute - $120

Let me start by saying I love waffle fabrics likes this. Look at how comfortable this robe looks though, super slouchy and cozy. Parachute is a brand I've been watching for awhile now and everything they seem to put out looks so great and to be top quality. A robe is an essential for a homebody right?

Olive Pants - IJJI - $140

These pants probably seem random I'm sure but it's my blog so you'll just have to deal with it. The pants are made by ijji a company that makes two things a top and bottom in different colors. That's it. The pants really stuck out to me, they just have this great chunky look to them and the draw string gives them a cozy vibe. Bonus, they actually look great and could be worn in public without actually looking like pajamas. Don't let your homebody be posted on people of Walmart in their PJ pants, get them these beauties instead and they may just end up on a fashion blog.

Linen Throw - Parachute - $170

I love linen. I think it's the coziest fabric out there. Linen is also very classy to me. The Linen Throw from parachute is like the perfect balance of comfort, class and style. It's time to throw out the ugly printed blankets and give your homebody a blanket they won't want to hide in a basket behind the couch.

Beau Mirror - Article - $250

If you know me, you know I love a good mirror. Sometimes you need a big ole mirror for your best performances of a classic ballad while no one is home, or a dance session or even just a smile and self pep talk. I personally am a big advocate of all the activities mentioned. This beau mirror is probably one of the most chic mirrors I've come across. The gorgeous wood and stylish leather accents it just has that extra something special. As you can see above it just looks great in a room too, give your homebody the gift of seeing their beautiful face everyday, they'll love you for it.

Art

Any homebody needs something to fill those bare walls and obviously art is the way to go. instead to of posting pictures and being specific I decided to just leave some guiding links below. I encourage you to check them all out, they're some of my favorites right now. The great thing about art too is that it can often be very reasonably priced, more than most my realize. I'm a huge fan of the artists I've linked below, and I'll think you'll really love some of their work, and so will your homebody.

Amy Joy Snyder - Fluid paintings with a lot of movement and sometimes small geometric elements.

Geoff Gouveia - Great use of color and a very distinct style. Not just prints and painting but apparel and gear as well. I own a few of his prints and they're some of my favorites.

Ink and Indigo - Indigo and Gold art that looks incredible. mostly paintings with a few sculptural pieces.

Matt Shurtleff - Colorful paintings and a few skateboards with great shapes and structure. I personally love the flowing water color pieces with hard lines.

I hope you've found some great gift ideas for your people. If you have please share! If you haven't please let me know, I'd love to help you find the perfect gift. Gift giving brings me so much joy and I hope you can feel that too. Thanks for reading.
